Central Beechworth location
Finches of Beechworth offers you an outstanding restored example of a Victorian period residence, centrally located in Beechworth.
The site on which Finches of Beechworth stands today was formerly a two storey brick malt house built by brewer, George Bilson in the 1870’s.
This was later demolished in the 1880’s and the Finches of Beechworth residence was built. Circa 1890, the house was constructed with Tasmanian Kauri timber ceilings throughout, which remain today.
